Making time for you!

We all know it’s often tricky to find time for ourselves these days, finding time for YOU can be far and few between. You might like to discover what Nia movement dance is all about!

If you enjoy ‘dancing like no one is watching’ and combine movement meditation and doing a workout without even feeling like you’ve done one, then Nia could be what you are looking for. Nia is a movement dance holistic practice that uses dance arts, martial arts and healing arts all combined to systematically move your body the way it is intended to. In Nia it’s all about the JOY of movement and adapting a ‘no pleasure, no gain’ kind of attitude! Nia gives you an abundance of tools you can take in your day, so you can dance through life!

Check out these six Nia fundamentals to get to know more about it: https://youtu.be/rGAawa1M19E

These six fundamentals are such a beautiful way to embody when dancing and building a relationship with your body, mind and soul. Moving to heal and making your body feel better not only improves the body’s function but also uplifts your spirit and consciousness and enlightens your sensory awareness to live an ever-present life and provide tools for you to flow through the experiences of life that we can all interface.

Moving with a community of people enhances your experience of Nia as well. As much as Nia is all about connecting to your body, it’s also a beautiful practise that brings together a feeling of connection to others, allowing you to be seen and gain confidence in being in your body around others and showing your expression. The beauty about this is that we build the gifts of life together and keep our integration with others alive – so important at this time! Keeping the hope of human consciousness, connection, and love over fear.
