As it is important to spend the time to reflect on your life’s journey, it’s equally important to break it down and look back at the year you’ve just experienced. Looking at what you have achieved throughout the year, what you have learnt, grown from, how you are proud of yourself for taking a leap in something that may have been stagnant or holding you back. It’s also great to look at what you may have not achieved, or didn’t quiet get there with and being kind to yourself and processing your road blocks, your reactions and actions you took. All these reflections help to process and assess where you are at in your life and what you might wish to work on in the next year or so.

So why not grab a notebook and pen, journal your heart out, pour all your feelings of what’s on your mind and what are the steps you can take to move in the direction you would like to choose.

As part of your health, wellness and reflection, spending time moving your body is another great way to not only get connected with your body but also tap into your body’s needs and creativity. So let’s do it! Start by lying down on the floor. Sense the weight of your body on the earth. Allow your body to melt into the floor, really letting go of anything you might be holding onto. When your body is ready, allow yourself to move through your body and really enjoy the flow and mobility of your body as you explore the space. Remind yourself that this is time for you to JUST BE – allow your body to sense the flow, move, feel and ask your body what it needs, where it needs to move, to self-heal.
“Imagine the more beautiful world your hearts know is possible”
Charles Eisentein
After moving your body, now grab that notebook and pen and journal on how you felt moving your body and feel in the present moment. What did you sense? What pearls of wisdom came to you? Write down any aspirations for your next year. This can be ever so small, from just spending 5 minutes every morning to do some deep breathing, 5 minutes of movement meditation. Or can be any other goals you may wish for yourself. It’s important to recognise too, that we can easily get distracted and forget our goals as life gets busy. So writing down some action points. Writing the steps to take and when you would like to achieve them by always helps to really simplify in making it happen. Also note that things change and evolve, so at anytime you can choose to chance the steps / action points, to get closer to your goals. Also don’t forget to celebrate when you have achieved your goal and ask yourself what might be next? Have fun, be kind to yourself and explore the possibilities.
Another important area to reflect on is your Soul, your Spirit, your Creator. This can mean lots of different things for everyone, so please find what resonates with you. It’s great to look back at what you have done for your Soul, Spirit, Creator. How can I improve on this aspect of my life and have a nourishing relationship. Asking for guidance in your purpose and what you would like to bring into your life and for others. This is such a personal choice in how you connect to this. Simply spending the time with this can really assist with feeling at ease, at peace and with purpose. So giving yourself the time to reflect on your desires and motivations.
