My hope for you is to step into your potential.

Embodied movement for body, mind, emotions and spirit is a wholistic practice for every part of our human experience.

When we sense all parts of us and become more in tune with our needs, we also can step aside and question things – is this right for me? What is this feeling? Am I becoming more sensitive to the environment and the people and energy around me? Your awareness to not only your body deepens, but also your senses to what’s around becomes more stimulated. Here is the key – when you notice this, you can also notice the choices you make.

Sensory movement gives us the intelligence to choose every step towards a better you, a more aligned you and learning to say YES or NO, to things that do or don’t align for you. And if you choose something that isn’t right for you – and don’t catch it quick enough, that’s okay. Because we always have another choice to re-route our direction. Movement helps for times when we feel stuck to release and create new neural pathways.

A regular practice, like Nia Movement and pilates gives me the discipline to notice and become grounded in the flow of my body, my choices and how I can implement this into my daily life practice.

There are many times I have felt out of shape, felt like giving up, asked myself what is the point, or I don’t feel like it – but when I turn up I always feel better no matter what. And so I question, why is it that I get myself into this spiral and negative state – we are human and sensitive beings and so many reasons to why we can get this way and I’m not sure it will ever stop, but if I can have tools or moves, that I can bust out and perhaps change my course, or patterns, then why not do that for myself. Taking action is one step closer to your potential.

Learning tools to keep grounded, present when negativity is around is so important and even more powerful when you can use these tools to stand stable when things around don’t feel right and how your presence is important in times of turmoil instead of walking away, giving up, being stagnant or keeping distracted.

How can I be a beacon of light for this? Yet also noticing if you need to walk away, what is it that I need to process from this?

A deep post here – but if you have been feeling a little stuck, stresses, uncertain, frustrated I hope you can use movement as a way to shift yourself through your life’s journey. Here are a few simple things you can do:

A body yawn: Expand and contract.

A freedance: Anything goes – pop on a song and let your body just move.

Movement meditation: A slow dance, taking each motion and slowing it right down
