Nestled in the heart of Sydney’s stunning Northern Beaches and Northern Suburbs, Melinda offers movement classes designed to leave you feeling joyful, energised, and deeply connected to your body’s inner wisdom. Experience the uplifting blend of Nia Dance Fitness Classes, Freedance, and Mat Pilates, across the Northern Beaches and Northern Suburbs.

Here is what classes for 2025 looked like:

Nia Dance Fitness Classes

This 55-minute, instructor-led Nia class blends movement from the dance arts, martial arts, and healing arts, guiding you to move with ease and joy in a way that supports your body’s natural rhythm. You’ll build flexibility, agility, mobility, strength, and stability—no matter your experience level. Whether you’re new to movement or more advanced, Nia is for every body.

Freedance Experience

The one-hour Freedance Experience is an invitation to explore the luxury of moving freely within your body. This class not only helps you discover your unique flow but also offers the time and space to reconnect with all aspects of your being—body, emotions, mind, and spirit. It’s a beautiful and empowering way to step into your purpose, carve out time for yourself, and have fun in a supportive community. With Melinda’s guidance, you’ll experience wisdom and presence that create a safe, nurturing environment to move, express, and reconnect.

Held on the last Wednesday of every month at Dee Why Surf Life Saving Club – 7pm (replacing the regular Nia class).

Nia Move it!

A 45 minute – 60minute cardiovascular conditioning experience, with interval training that moves one of the 52 Nia moves every 60 seconds. Each class incorporates 4 types of conditioning where students are encouraged to find their range of motion, energy dynamics and intensity level.

Mat Pilates

A 45 minute Mat Pilates session offers a perfect opportunity to find flow in your body while building strength and achieving balance. Melinda will guide you through each movement with a focus on comfort and alignment, helping you progress step by step toward your goals.

Cost for Nia Classes only:

  • New to Nia Special – 3 classes for $45 (use within 1 month and only for those new to Nia)
  • 5 class pass $110 (use within 2 months of purchase)
  • 10 class pass $200 (use within 4 months of purchase)
  • Casual $25

Please note:

Payments can be cash, bank transfer or card.

For all card payments or pre-bookings an additional fee will incur.

Passes are not transferable between Nia classes that are with other Nia teachers.

Nia Freedance monthly class is $25 per class. If you have a Nia class pass with Mel, you can use it for this class. Or pre-book early for a discounted rate!

I highly recommend Nia dancing as it is a full body workout that makes me feel uplifted and energised. Mel encourages us to go at our own pace and I especially enjoy the free form dancing where we can dance wildly and feel free and joyous.
