Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IS NIA?

Nia is a holistic movement dance practice that incorporates elements from the dance arts, healing arts, and martial arts. Its philosophy is all about the JOY of movement and dancing your body’s way. Although the classes are guided and have routines, we always invite you to tweak it so that it feels right for your body and encourage you to find the freedom in the form. Infused with free dancing and connecting to your body in unity with the mind, body and soul. Classes are generally 50-60 minutes.

DO I NEED TO HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE FOR A Nia CLASS?

Absolutely no experience neccessary. Nia is for every body, any age, any fitness level, size, shape and ability can successfully practice Nia. Students come from all walks of life but are united in their desire to feel better, move better and live better.
