It’s the start of another year and already I’m getting bogged down on where to begin, what do I wish to achieve, where am I going etc. etc… 😉 The list can go on! So before I splurge in all the goal setting, I’ve decided to take time a deep breath, and create a daily ‘ritual’ to keep me grounded, keep my heart singing and also plugs me in to where my highest intentions are, for when i’m not feeling 100%. Now I know I can come from a place that is my authentic self in all that I do.
Dance with the OCEAN and let the waters rhythm liberate your soul!
Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”
― Bruce Lee
Everyone’s daily ritual is unique and different. So what’s your thing?! Have you got something you like to do as a daily practice to keep you in motion? Write it down. Ask yourself how does it make you feel and how can you take this feeling into your day or life goals.
As you may know or get to know, I love to move and be creative! Movement is everywhere, both when we are asleep and awake. It is part of our existence. Keeping the flow of your body is so important for every part of your being – body, emotions, mind and spirit. We are constantly evolving, learning and transforming. Keep the curiosity alive for your well-being and give yourself the time to discover, unravel, and be on the journey. There are times for driven results, assertive actions, and behaviours, as well as time for flow, patience, and to simple be. Knowing what you need and when you need it, comes through listening to the wisdom of your body, emotions, mind and spirit. The way it comes is also very personal for how that is received. Giving yourself the time to know what it is for you – it’s so rewarding!
I look forward to sharing more movement, dance and strengthening, for your existence, in community and in any given moment you can make it to classes. l’m so grateful to be able to dance by the ocean for my Dee Why classes. So lucky to have the lakeside view for our Narrabeen class. And love the homely suburban green vibe for my Artarmon class. Each has a unique feel and special people to dance with, so thank you always for turning up when it’s possible and hope 2025 can continue for you, for me, to create a supportive community of movers.
Lets get motivated!
